Say if yous do break up u don’t have to Get a divorce & so on & im Also saying alot of people nowDays don’t get married cause of the cost of weedings and other things that comewith it just an opinion

   • If you and your partner get assets (House, cars, etc…) together without being married and then you break up then your assets would not be divided equally. The asset will go to the person who has his/her name on the title. If your partner passes away then you are not entitled to any of his assets nor are you eligible as a life insurance beneficiary. You are not eligible to get any tax benefits as a couple if you’re not married. In case your partner commits a crime, you are not exempt from being subpoenaed and most likely be asked to testify against him/her. You cannot visit your partner in case he gets put in jail unless you’re married. If your partner has an affair and he purchases any property for his mistress then you are not allowed to charge him with concubinage. If your partner is terminally ill, you get no say on whether to pull the plug on him/her or not, you cannot even visit your partner if he/she is in the ICU. You will not receive any Social Security and Medicare benefits from your partner unless you’re married.

     Marriage is not overrated simply because it provides a large amount of financial and legal benefits that you will not ever receive if you are not bound by marriage. 

   • Ah yes, cheating is so much more exciting. Not my lifestyle choice but…well, at least we know that’s how it all started for these two “humanitarians” bah.  I do have to say I am glad they are finally married and maybe now we can stop hearing about them all the time. I can hope.
